In My Mailbox 7

North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley
It's hard not to notice Terra Cooper. She's tall, blond, and has an enviable body. But with one turn of her cheek, all people notice is her unmistakably "flawed" face. Terra secretly plans to leave her stifling small town in the Northwest and escape to an East Coast college, but gets pushed off-course by her controlling father. When an unexpected collision puts Terra directly in Jacob's path, the handsome but quirky Goth boy immediately challenges her assumptions about herself and her life, and she is forced in yet another direction. With her carefully laid plans disrupted, will Terra be able to find her true path?Written in lively, artful prose, award-winning author Justina Chen Headley has woven together a powerful novel about a fractured family, falling in love, travel, and the meaning of true beauty.

I have two other books I picked up randomly at the library but I'm most excited for this one. I actually BOUGHT North of Beautiful. If you notice the cover, the girl's also the same one from Evermore. And there's another book but I don't remember the title. There's a survey of which cover's the best at the cupcake witch if you're curious. *shrug*. Books from the library a.k.a. Heaven are: The Amaranth Enchantment by Julie Berry & ABCs of Kissing Boys by Tina Ferraro... the covers aren't as pretty as North of Beautiful. At least, in my opinion. xD

Gotta run. I have to pick up a bag of books! *flies away*

  1. Nice choice! Wow-- is it the same picture as Evermore? Looks like it was just flipped (or evermore was flipped). Interesting! Happy reading!

  4. yep, isn't it funny when pub houses use the same people for the covers?

  6. I saw this one at Barnes and Noble and it totally reminded me of the Evermore cover. It looks good, though I'll be looking forward to the Review so I can make up my mind whether or not I'd like to read it.

  8. You are so lucky to be able to fly. Most penguins aren't so well endowed, and the only pirate I met that could fly was called Short Sammy Blue =]

oh, I was probably meant to comment on the book. I'm sorry- I get distracted often. It's the cheesecake. Anyhow, sounds good.
