What's on your desk Wednesday?

Meme created so that we have an excuse to be nosy and take a peek at what's on your desk. :D So, I realized that my descriptive tours of my desk weren't what this meme was asking of me. I'll do it right this time, although I had fun pretending to be a tour guide.

Five bookish things:

-Snake Hips by Anne Thomas Soffee. A fun bellydancing memoir that I thoroughly enjoyed.

-The Secret by Rhonda Bryne. You know the book, it's a bestseller with a pretty cover. I didn't find it particularly inspiring.... I kinda just skimmed.

-ARC of Treasure Map of Boys. :)

-My library card that has my face plastered on it. x_o;

-My notebook, where I write down all my thoughts and feelings toward whatever book I'm reading. This is where my reviews are created. xD

-My glasses... although I don't need them to read. I just can't see far.

Five nonbookish things:

-My shiny cellphone. *stares at it impatiently, hoping someone will text.*

-An unopened stack of index cards.

-My green wallet thing, containing all my membership cards to bookstores...

-Random Waldbaum's coupons.

Isn't my desk fascinating? ;P Anyways! I need to write out some reviews for Snake Hips and Along for the Ride. I'll get those up eventually. I can't believe it's already Wednesday. How fast is this year going??? I'll just wake up one day and realize that it's time for college. *cringes* I get to be a freshman all over again.... joy.

  1. Your library card has your face on it? No fair! Mine doesn't. It just has a pic of the place.

    I'm looking forward to your review of Snake Hips. It sounds so different! Why have you been avoiding the Luxe? I'm planning on trying for a second sidebar within the next week or two. I'm just swamped with schoolwork right now.

    So, I was thinking about North and South yesterday. You know that part in the movie when their hands brush as she hands him the tea? Do you think John put his hand on hers on purpose, or was it just an accident? xD

  2. Where I live library cards don't have pictures on them - which I am supremely grateful for because if it turned out looking anything like my license picture it would be horrible.
