Can't resist mentioning this.

I was checking out the post updates through my dashboard and look at what I stumbled upon!

Kiersten White's cover for her new book! PARANORMALCY.

I haven't found any official summary but there is this sneak peek on the author's official site:

My name's Evie. I work for the IPCA. Yeah, the International Paranormal Containment Agency. But don't worry, I'm not a vamp or werewolf or faerie or anything. And I don't kill them, either. Just bag and tag. After all, we're not out to eliminate them--just to neuter them. Sorry, IPCA joke. We don't actually neuter them, because, well, yuck. We just help them live harmlessly among humans. Sometimes they don't want the help, but we give it to them anyway. Think of us as the UN, if the UN carried tasers and silver knives.

So you're probably wondering why a sixteen-year-old girl is the prize possession of IPCA. I'm sure you know all about glamours--most paranormals have them, meaning normal people (okay, everyone else in the world except me) can't see what they really are. But there's no fooling me; I can see through to what they are underneath. Trust me: all of this nonsense about vampires being sexy? NOT. TRUE.

So that's my life. Or, it was, until paranormals started dying and something unlike anything we'd seen before broke into the Center and changed everything...

Well, I don't know about you but I'M interested. :D I remember reading this for the first time on Kiersten's site and since then I've been waiting for this book's cover. Now the moment's finally here! I wasn't expecting it to be so...dark but... I like it! You should totally go congratulate Kiersten* because this is exciting news!

Extra: I found out through twitter that blogger Sarah J. Maas (who I knew nothing about until now**) has been querying and writing for the past eight years for her novel, Queen of Glass. She got the call of her lifetime and now, Queen of Glass will be published by Bloomsbury! You should go congratulate her too!

Extra, extra news: I'm behind on reviews again (no surprise there) but I'm going to try to post the majority of them this week. Key word: TRY. So... you might get hit wth a lot of reviews. Just sayin'.

*she mentions that this cover isn't the final cover image but still, if the design team comes up with THIS as a practice run.... damn. Talk about impressive!

**which sucks because she strikes me as such a cool person and I didn't know about her until this very moment. But now that I've found her blog, I'm planning on being a perpetual visitor, lol!

  1. I really like that cover, though it does look a bit dark for the light writing in the excerpt. The premise sounds very interesting, I do like my vamps sexy though...LOL. Thanks for sharing and I will stop by an congratulate. :)

  4. Okay PARANORMALCY's premise rocks. Sounds like Buffy the vampire slayer (which I love).

Also. I'm in the same boat as you cause I AM SO BEHIND ON REVIEWS *cries a little* and I'm going to try to do a review everyday of this week starting TODAY. Or yesterday, depending when you're reading this.

But don't quote me on this when I fail at reviewing-a-book-a-day. lol. BUT WE CAN CATCH UP ON OUR BACKLOGS WE CAN!
